Job description:
An IT Infrastructure Engineer (Network & Servers) is required on a 6 month initial contract (likely to be extended) based in Dorchester, Dorset. For this position the IT Infrastructure Engineer (Network & Servers) will be responsible for supporting a number of projects. You will support the Network estate including switch management and general BAU Network troubleshooting. You will also be involved with a project to implement a new SIEM tool and create rules to ensure successful adoption into a live environment. The successful Engineer will be provide Server support to customers up to and including Server 2015 within a Windows 7 environment. They will have a solid background with VMWare and ideally have some virtualisation experience. Experience across Networking & Server Support is required and the ideal candidate will hold a CCNA/CCNP. Any experience around Linux integration with Windows will also be highly beneficial for the role. The successful candidate will also be required to gain SC Clearance. This role is to start ASAP and will pay in the region of £325-£375 per day (ltd/umbrella) dependant on experience.
