Job description:
This major medcomms agency is growing its digital division in London and is looking to recruit a Technical Director with solid experience with the LAMP stack as well as Microsoft technologies. You must have previous experience within a medical communications agency, or have worked in-house with a pharmaceutical or healthcare company. The role sits within a current team of around 12 people but this is expected to grow raidly in the next 12-18 months. You will be responsible for managing the team and third party developers, as well as contributing to the design of information architecture, usability etc. You should have expertise in managing the development of digital solutions and should have a good grasp of open source technologies such as PHP, Wordpress, Drupal etc - and any exposure to Sitecore, Umbraco or TeamSite would be handy too. Its not all open source by any means so some experience with .NET would be good too. You should have managed some mobile development projects too, across Android and iOS. The role will suit someone who is steeped in digital and who understands hardware and software issues. Ideally you should be someone who has recruited and managed a growing team within the medcomms arena. Your project management skills should be well-honed and you should have at least 2 years in a managerial position, and extensive experience in digital. You will liaise with people across the business to discuss digital projects and will endeavour to create a successful technical strategy for the company. If youre a creative thinker who enjoys creating innovative solutions then this one should suit you. The company grew at a phenomenal pace last year and this is expected to continue for the rest of 2016 and beyond.
