Opening date: 15th March 2016 Closing date: 14th April 2016 Hours: 35 per week Monday – Friday Salary: Competitive Location: SE1 2AF London *Multiple Roles Available* Team The Global Compensation Services (GCS) team provides and manages services for multinational companies who send employees (assignees), and their families, to work and live in another country. GCS core function is to capture and analyse expatriate compensation data from multiple sources to deliver effective compensation management to their clients and help them achieve full policy and tax compliance. GCS provide global alternatives to assist clients in alleviating their risks associated with compensation reporting such as, but not limited to: · Compensation data collection and analysis for tax and social security compliance · Payroll management · Post-payroll variance checks · Policy check · Accruals management · Total cost reporting and cost savings advisory · Management information reporting · Improve international assignment experience, for both assignees and companies In addition, the team provide advisory, project and ad hoc services such as: · Implementing new systems and processes and assisting during transition period · Developing and implementing technology solutions for different payroll providers · Managing end-to-end projects · Providing solutions for increased global compliance · Providing advice and assistance regarding new regulations · Liaising with 3rd parties to ensure a smooth and efficient transfer of data · Implementation of new countries/regions to include planning, timetable, scheduling of initial meetings and being responsible for actions log. Designing the specifications for a new country and investigating potential issues/local requirements and finding solutions. Responsibilities The role is for an experienced assistant consultant to work on the Asia-Pacific region and our Systems (Data manipulating & reporting) team. · Facilitate monthly payroll process from start to finish for 14 Asia Pacific to include collecting, processing and distributing data via multiple reports. · Conduct first level technical review of client deliverables, e.g. Pay Instructions, identify errors and proactively seek resolution. This will include multi currencies split payout (Payout for 1 individual in multiple currencies) · Responsible for initial review of all deliverables for 14 countries, to include communicating with local tax team and local client teams. · Review Tax data provided by local tax teams and validate. Liaise with local tax teams regarding calculation of taxes and manage these teams. Responsible for agreeing additional fees with local tax teams for extra work, or for re-negotiating fees where work is not of the required standard. · Responsible for tax payment instructions to all Asia Pacific countries and validation of amounts against Tax Report. · Identify and report on cases where deductions exceed payout and flag to client as appropriate · Variance reporting to include comparing client deliverables against actual Payroll payments and escalate inconsistencies to appropriate stakeholders · Policy check to ensure payments made are in light with policy of clients. · Validate Year End reporting information and required reconciliations · Liaise with a team of 3 preparers in our India office, to include providing training on preparation of files, review of all deliverables prepared and providing feedback where necessary. · Ensure adherence to EY Quality & Risk Management procedures and responsibility for file management · Understanding EY software & technology to facilitate preparation of numerous reports and documents, e.g. request updates from software team to meet changes required by clients · Liaise with EY global offices regarding mont
