A reputable nursery in Luton, Bedfordshire that caters for children age 2 months to 5 years old is seeking a number of Nursery Nurses to join its expanding team on casual basis. Flexible working hours are available. As the Nursery Nurse your duties will be to: • Contribute to a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in your area, in conjunction with other staff. • Support all staff and engage in a good staff team. • Liaise with and support parents and other family members. • Attend out of working hour's activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parent's evenings, summer fayre, Christmas party, etc. • Be flexible within working practices of Nursery. • Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the Nursery, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, etc. • Work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the philosophy behind the project is fulfilled. To be a successful Nursery Nurse you will have the following skills and experience: • Level 3 or equivalent in Early Years / Childcare. • Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS. • Good knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures. • Previous childcare experience is essential and specific nursery experience beneficial. • Excellent communicator. • An enthusiastic and positive approach. • Successful applications will need to provide 'right to work in the UK' documentation and undertake a DBS. You will be working between 7.15am and 6.15pm, 40 hours per week. In return you will receive a salary of £17,000 - £20,000 per annum.
