They now have a recent opening with a prestigious customer for both retail sites and distribution centres and are on the lookout for customer focused Security Guards that will work in the Northampton and surrounding areas. THE ROLE: The successful Retail and Distribution Security Officer will be working with colleagues and partners on the prestigious Sainsbury’s contract in the Northampton and Surrounding areas, providing a full array of security functions including patrols, seal checks, searches, CCTV reviews and providing a visual deterrent among other duties. OPPORTUNITIES: Current vacancies for both retail and distribution roles in Northampton, Coventry, Daventry, Milton Keynes, Wellingborough, Kettering and more Key Responsibilities for the role of a Retail and Distribution Security Officer: To look out for colleagues on site maintaining vigilance at all times.To ensure that any anti-social behaviour is dealt with in an effective and timely manner.To act as a visual deterrent to potential theft.To support the client workforce on site if searches are required.To ensure that reporting and paperwork is carried out in the correct and timely manner.Gatehouse / Access and Egress control (Distribution only) THE CANDIDATE: The Retail or Distribution Security Officer will always act in the best interest of the general public and colleagues working on site whilst on duty. They will need to remain vigilant and act with integrity at all times. They must be pro-active and forward thinking who can handle any potential heated situations well. There will be the occasion reports to write so candidates will be expected to have a good understanding of written English. A driving licence is essential for this position. Key experience and skills for the role of a Retail and Distribution Security Officer: Fluent English – Spoken and written is a must – report writing will form part of your duties as well as interaction with the general public and clients.Candidates must be able to provide a full 5 year checkable employment history with no more than a 31 days gap.Licenced to drive in the UK will be highly advantageous.An SIA Frontline License (CCTV License is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.)Will hold excellent customer service and communications skills.Previous customer service or retail experience will be desirable.
