An English Teacher (with UK QTS) is required for a long term maternity cover in an Autistic School teaching small classes of children who are on the Autistic Spectrum. The post is for 5 days per week in Colchester and requires an immediate start.  It will involve working as part of a team, with a team of dedicated teaching assistants who provide fantastic support to the children. The role will be delivering an engaging curriculum and requires a versatile Teacher who is creative and caring in their approach.  The students are vulnerable and need that little bit extra support. The school has an excellent reputation for providing education to Autistic children and is a great place to work, the staff are welcoming, friendly and supportive of one another. The role can be challenging but is extremely rewarding. Any previous experience of teaching children with SEND particularly Autism would be highly beneficial, but is not essential.
