We are delighted to invite Staff Nurses - with oncology experience - to work in our comprehensive Oncology Centre. This role is based at the Platinum Medical Centre. Our fully serviced oncology suite is supported by high end cancer specific imaging, 10 state-of-the-art chemotherapy suites and a dedicated oncology pharmacy. We work in partnership with Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC) - a leading specialist in the medical treatment of cancer patients. You will have access to some of the most sought after clinicians in the South and will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in diverse branches of Oncology. You will be joining our Oncology team that provides 24 hour medical support to patients but also providing immediate life support to any patient, visitor or staff member as required. Our patients benefit from the Platinum Medical Centre`s cutting-edge facilities, and the LOCs proven successful methods. Job Description. To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of Chemotherapy care. To work within a team, supervising and directing junior staff and deputising for Senior Staff Nurse in their absence. The Shift pattern is varied and you will need flexibility to work long days, evenings and weekends plus night duties around every 4 to 6 weeks. The salary for this position will be between £30,328 - £33,000 dependent on experience. Duties & Responsibilities. - To have a good understanding of medical, haematology and oncology nursing. - To demonstrate compassion and empathy at all time. - To work closely with the multidisciplinary team in order to provide the best possible experience for our patients. Skills & Experience. - Registered Nurse Level 1 - NMC Registration. - Recent oncology within a relevant healthcare setting. - Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, be able to effectively use time and ensure the highest level of clinical care and customer care skills.
