Senior Safety Engineer A successful FTSE 100 engineering support services organisation is looking to take on a Senior Safety Engineer to work within the Submarine Business Unit to support the UK Naval Nuclear Propulsion Programme. The Job Based in Plymouth, you will undertake a key role by managing and delivering modern standard safety assessment and advice in line with Nuclear Industry best practice. This will include; * Project Management of complex Safety Cases (including that have been subcontracted), ensuring delivery to time, quality and cost. * Development and delivery of safety engineering strategy across facility/project lifecycles. * Management and integration of design and safety analysis in support of the assigned projects. * Delivery and development of modern standards safety assessment techniques. * Support to other Safety Engineering activities through the provision of a verification service to an agreed scope or area of expertise. * Provision of advice to key stakeholders on implementation and maintenance of safety cases, Site Licence and MoD Authorisation issues, and to liaise with external bodies as appropriate. Opportunities exist to support all parts of the facility lifecycle, ranging from new build of submarine defueling facilities, development of new safety cases for existing facilities through to the disposal of legacy equipment.
