A north London-based events organiser and publisher is looking for an enthusiastic Editor, Journalist and Copywriter to lead its B2B print magazine, its digital channels and to assist in the production and running of weekly seminars and conferences covering digital marketing. Our client is looking for an experienced, flexible, ambitious editorial all-rounder with strong writing skills who'll take full responsibility for five print magazines a year, from flat-plan to publication. The Editor will also act as chair at regular seminars and conferences covering digital marketing, attended by anything from 50 to 500 people. You'll need to be confident, outgoing and happy to conduct interviews in public and to assist in the smooth-running of events. You'll be ready to immerse yourself in the digital marketing industry (if you're not already), network with senior marketers at brands, agencies and PRs and have a keen eye for the issues shaping the digital marketing industry. The Editor will also be responsible for the creation of marketing content for email and social media campaigns, so strong copywriting skills are required. The Editor will take responsibility for sourcing, commissioning, editing and uploading content to the website using in-house CMS. Familiarity with WordPress would be an advantage. The Editor will work with the commercial team to identify and contact potential event speakers. Person specification:. A very strong editorial background (online and print, B2B or B2C) including interviewing and long-form feature writing. A strong and demonstrable interest in digital media, digital marketing, social media and technology for marketing and advertising. A disciplined self-starter with strong time and work management skills. Knowledge and experience of using social media and other channels to raise brand awareness, build communities and extend business reach. You'll need to be confident, outgoing, flexible, creative, a quick learner, have a good sense of humour and be able to roll with it when necessary. Skills and experience:. Experience writing, editing, proofing, copywriting. Able to take complex, detailed information and turn it into accessible, engaging and scrupulously accurate copy. Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, Photoshop, Powerpoint, CMS. Knowledge of InDesign would be an advantage. At home across social media and bursting with ideas about how the company can make use of new channels.
