Our client is seeking full time and part time Healthcare Support Workers. You will enable customers to stay in their homes by providing health and personal services, supporting customers and their families. You will be travelling to customers in and around the Plymouth area and undertaking a range of duties. These flexible roles offer the opportunity for you to choose to work full or part time with the security of guaranteed hours once they have been agreed. This organisation are happy to support people attending college or University Role * Assess customers condition by monitoring signs; recording intake and output; reviewing customers care plans; keeping family informed. * Record customers information * Help customers care for themselves by introducing and teaching assisted living techniques, e.g., using a cane or walker, using special utensils to eat, using special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene needs. * Help family members care for the patient by introducing and teaching appropriate ways to lift, turn, and re:position the customers; putting the family in contact with resources for additional home care help; directing them on how to receive care for hospital beds, portable toilets, canes, walkers, lift:chairs, etc. * Maintain a safe, secure, and clean customer environment by; cleaning; handling personal laundry; maintaining security. * Provide nutritious meals; preparing, cooking, and serving meals and snacks. * Documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs in the care plan for the next caregiver. * Keep up to date within the wider sector and your specific role Requirements * Experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided * Driver preferred but not essential
