Interserve Healthcare is recruiting now for Female Care Assistants to provide care and support to our client based in the Rotherham area. Our client is a 32 year old lady who, as a result of a riding accident, has suffered an acquired brain injury.  Our client is non verbal and communicates using gestures and an Alphabet board. She has right side weakness, can weight bear but struggles with balance she also has a tracheostomy and PEG feed in situ.  As her Care Assistant you will be required to ensure that the tracheostomy and PEG sites are kept clean, provide full personal care, take our client out on outings, provide companionship, promote independence and assist with food preparation and rehabilitation.  We are looking for Care Assistants who; • Have 6 months care experience or who have successfully completed The Care Certificate • Preferably have experience of working with clients with complex care needs, however this is not essential as full training will be given • Are car drivers (you will be required to drive a special adapted vehicle) • Are experienced in manual handling • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Are friendly with a positive outlook on life  • Can promote independence and make a real difference to our clients' life Shifts we currently have available include, days and nights.
