J2EE JAVA Developer   VTEK Solutions Ltd – Park Royal NW10   Job Description: VTEK Solutions Ltd. is currently seeking 2 experienced J2EE Java Developers who are proficient with latest Java technologies.   Key Skills : * Test Driven Development , Behaviour driven development * Object Orientated Analysis, Design and Development * Full J2EE stack Technologies, principally EJB and JMS and Web Services, Restful web services * SOAP based web services (top down and bottom up approach), JAXB * Continuous Integration tools: Hudson, Jenkins * Core Java, Swings, Multithreading, Design patterns, Data Structures, algorithms, UML, Data modelling. * Build tools: Maven, ant * Modern Web-based User Interface design and development – Rich Internet Applications (RIA), HTML5, Javascript, AJAX, Spring MVC,Hibernate, Struts, JSF, including deep knowledge of the Document Object Model * DOJO, JQuery, CSS, HTML5, Jasper reports, Velocity,angular.js, Node.js, Content Management System(preferable Hippo CMS) * Relational Database development, especially in an Oracle environment, including an understanding of relational database design and the use of Oracle PL/SQL (or experience of equivalent procedural languages) * XML and related standards (e.g. XSD, XSLT). * Oracle certified Java programmer, Oracle certified web component developer * Selenium Testing Framework, Quality Center, QTP and LoadRunner or equivalent testing automation and quality management products * 5 to 8 years’ industrial software development experience post degree gained in the production of complex software in a team environment * Excellent communications skills with the ability to articulate software design and implementation clearly and in detail. * Track record of developing high quality industrial-strength software to the highest possible standards in a team environment. * Demonstrable ability to plan work and to execute to that plan * Ability to effectively review the design and implementation of software to ensure quality.   Key Responsibilities : * Detailed design of a set of complex software components from high-level design information * Implementation and supervision of the implementation of software components * Peer review of software design, implementation and documentation * Mentoring and supervision of more junior engineering staff * Reviewing the software design, and implementations produced by team members * Co-ordination of the activities of a project team. * Producing and validating estimates for software implementation.   Key Responsibilities : * Highly motivated self-starter with a can-do attitude * Strong team player with good interpersonal skills * Flexible and adaptable approach to work * Ability to assimilate knowledge quickly and efficiently * Passionate for software quality and modern SDLC methodologies (Scrum, Agile), Waterfall methodology     Salary : £32,000 to £36,000 per annum Working Hours : 37.5 hours/week Qualifications : Degree Level Qualification in Computer Science and professional qualifications.
