We are currently seeking a qualified Internal Auditor to fulfill the role of Senior Internal Auditor for the U.K operation of this Global Firm. Reporting in to the Director of Internal Audit, who is based in the U.S.A, the position works independently under general supervision with considerable latitude for initiative. It would therefore suit a candidate who is confident working autonomously and comfortable making decisions. In addition, candidates should have considerable skill in planning and project management and enjoy interfacing with the wider business. Principal responsibilities are to lead or conduct financial and compliance audit projects, and provide, as necessary, training and coaching to individuals involved in internal audit test work. Reporting to the Director of Internal Audit, the Senior Auditor also has extensive interaction with various levels of management and departments including Controller, Treasurer, CFO, CEO, Tax, Information Technology and operational and financial managers and staff of the Operating Groups. In addition, the Senior Auditor will have interaction with the Company's external independent auditors. The position does not involve the direct supervision of personnel, however, in practice, a significant amount of time will be spent providing direction, leadership and general supervision to various personnel within the Company who will be assisting with certain activities of the internal audit function. The position is responsible for assisting the internal audit function in performing its role in assisting management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors in monitoring the Company's compliance with its documented procedures related to internal controls over financial reporting. In addition, an annual assessment will be performed by the Company's external auditor. The internal audit function has a significant role in providing management with a sufficient basis for making these assessments. The position is responsible for leading or conducting financial and compliance audit projects. This role will include gaining an understanding of documented policies and procedures, developing audit program guides, performing audit procedures and reporting the results and making recommendations to the Director of Internal Audit and managers of the areas subject to audit. The internal audit function is involved in a continuous process of helping management identify potential errors and/or fraudulent activities on a timely basis thereby allowing the internal audit plan to be dynamic. The Senior Auditor will assist the Director of Internal Audit and management with reviewing and assessing on a quarterly basis changes in balance sheet accounts, personnel, procedures, internal controls, etc. Key Accountability: * Performs audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence and documenting processes and procedures. * Conducts interviews, reviews documents, develops and administers surveys, composes summary memos and prepares work papers. * Identifies, develops and documents audit issues and recommendations concerning areas being reviewed. * Assists the Director of Internal Audit in preparing communications to management and the Audit Committee regarding the results of audit projects. * Pursues professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained with co‐workers.
