An exciting opportunity has arisen to join East Midlands Trains as a Revenue & Capacity Analyst within our Revenue Management Team. The Revenue & Capacity Analyst will work to maximise income and yield by applying revenue management techniques and strategies. The Revenue & Capacity Analyst will provide support to the Revenue Management Team with revenue and volume analysis research to support the objective of Right Ticket, Right Seat at the Right Time, at the Right price to the Right Customer. The Revenue Management Analyst will utilise research and analysis alongside events calendar planning to set pricing and product allocation based on demand. You will be given opportunity to develop innovative strategies for optimal product availability and to work with the wider business to ensure the Revenue Management team contributes to the customer experience focus of the company. The Revenue Management Analyst will:- Assume day to day responsibility and authority for revenue management control, remaining mindful of passenger demand, capacity restraint whilst continuing to improve the customer experience. - Generate reports from the Revenue Management System and perform data analysis on past performance to proactively innovate new trends. - Develop and apply influences to the Revenue Management System to ensure forecasts and recommendations are in line with product availability strategies. - Identify and report on competitors pricing and product availability. - Develop expertise and demand profiles for each product to determine the appropriate time to make revenue management controls. - Support the Pricing Manager and Reservations Controller at peak periods. - Interface with other departments to drive demand where spare capacity exists. Utilising the functionality of our Revenue Management System, including demand forecasts and optimisation rules, your purpose is to manage the availabilities, by train, of our Products and Tickets to ensure that the right price is available at the right time delivering value for money to our customers. You will be an innovative individual with the desire to develop revenue management strategies while maintaining focus upon customer experience. You will have a strong understanding and experience of Yield Management, and excellent IT skills, with particular knowledge of Excel. This role will give you broad exposure to other departments across East Midlands Trains and the ability to communicate and influence colleagues will be a key to your success in the role. You will have the ability to build knowledge of Company products, market segmentation, and service demand. Experience within an industry centred around customer demand is essential.
