The Health Economics Research Unit (HERU) is seeking to appoint, a Grade 6 or Grade 7Research Fellow in health economics/decision modelling for a period of 3-years.  The successful applicant will contribute to our .  HERU is one of Europe’s leading centres for health economics and is located within the Institute of Applied Health Sciences in the College of Life Sciences and Medicine, at the University of Aberdeen.      Key Responsibilities: This post offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of health economic decision models for the purpose of informing NHS policy recommendations.  The post will suit a candidate whose key interests include modelling methods for use in economic evaluation, and/or statistical analysis methods aligned to decision analytic or disease modelling. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team (incorporating researchers from HERU and the Health Services Research Unit (HSRU)) specialising in health technology assessment, and will work on research projects funded the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). Key activities will include the development of models for extrapolation of cost and effect data collected alongside randomised controlled trials and cohort studies, and cost-effectiveness modelling as part of evidence synthesis projects.   Individuals with a PhD in health economics, statistics, operations research, or closely related quantitative discipline are encouraged to apply.
