Job description:
A great chance to work for one of the fastest growing UK Food Manufacturers as they continue to break records in the UK and expand across Europe. You will be located in the Midlands at their European Centre of Excellence and lead new products from concept through to launch within your category. As a Project Manager within the UK NPD team for this business you will liaise with their extensive customer base and work to develop new and exciting products. Your main responsibilities will include managing the NPD process from concept to launch, including innovation, commercial viability, cost reduction, organising trials, artwork approval, costing, and building closer customer working relationships whilst supporting internal & external customers. You will act as the primary day-to-day point of contact on general NPD both internally and with customers. Who are we looking for? Project Management experience within food manufacturing that is ideally retail aligned with NPD and Technical experience Qualified to Degree level in either Food Science/ Food Technology or closely related subject or comparable work experience Good analytical and report writing/presentation skills Thoroughness and attention to detail Flexibility to working outside of normal working hours work will be necessary at certain times dependent on trial schedule/workload etc. Commercial awareness Team leadership skills Be able to work with all levels of personnel from shop floor to Director level Familiar with customer and Technical processes and NPD systems Excellent communication skills – verbal & written Interest in food/trend awareness - Creativity/Innovation/Blue Sky ideas
