Operations Director (Business Process Reengineering / Business transformation / Lean Six Sigma) Newcastle, Manchester, London, Birmingham My client is searching for Operations Directors (Business Process Reengineering / Business Transformation / Lean Six Sigma) to shape propositions and solutions for their largest clients; and go on to play a key role in delivery. You will bring significant experience in one of the following: Operations, Business Architecture, Technology, Programme Delivery and People and Change/Business Readiness. The successful Operations Director (Business Process Reengineering / Business Transformation / Lean Six Sigma) will also have strong sales and delivery credentials in one or more of the following: Financial Services; Telco; Utilities; Central Government; Local Government; and Justice and Security. Operations Director (Business Process Reengineering / Business transformation / Lean Six Sigma) My client has specific requirements for Directors within their Operations Practice. You will have experience of driving operational excellence across a range of clients, in one or more high volume service industries such as Financial Services; Telco; Utilities; Retail Customer Services Operations or similar. In addition to client facing work, my client also expects their Directors to play a critical and significant role in developing business through practice and people development. Key Responsibilities: Shapes, designs and delivers large scale transformation to senior clients as part of the team Strategic leadership of client interactions across the lifecycle from first conversation through to solutioning and delivery Supports new sales opportunities and management of large or complex bids for/with Market and Sales Directors Creates innovative and compelling ideas with Market Directors for (and with) clients Takes on the role of Engagement Director for key programmes including strategic leadership; client management; problem resolution; and managing commercials and margins across a portfolio of individual projects with a view to achieving Business Plan targets Uses negotiation skills and change control process to agree changes to scope, deliverables, resources costs and timescales on projects or assignments Liaises with Market and Practice Directors regarding opportunities and resourcing Leads on the development of thought leadership in a given specialist field Provides management and/or mentoring of staff Provides leadership and ownership of priority internal initiatives Engages effectively with senior stakeholders and maintains strong, mutually beneficial relationships - actively maintains a network of senior stakeholder contacts Skills and Experience Significant experience of transformational management consulting and delivery Proven ability to repeatedly work collaboratively with clients on large transformational deals Proven ability to lead work in complex, multi-stakeholder environments Proven ability to present complex information in an easily understandable way; communicating avoiding unnecessary jargon Ability to design and manage different commercial models Experience of managing large teams and a number of different projects simultaneously Ability to demonstrate assertiveness and resilience in challenging situations Demonstrates and promotes professionalism and ethics in the workplace Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent. Evidence of post graduate professional development is desirable but not essential.
