We are handling an exciting opportunity for an experienced Development Technologist to join a leading food manufacturer in Wiltshire. This is a unique customer facing role within the Product & Systems Development Team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to sales growth through their creative and hands-on approach to food development, multi-functional team working and excellent relationship with customers. Reporting to the Product Development Manager and working very closely with the Business unit team, you will be responsible for developing innovative new products, improving existing products (chilled/ambient) and identifying and driving new opportunities. The Role:. You will manage all aspects of product development projects from concept development through to launch. This will include kitchen scale development, producing samples, preparing costings, managing factory trials, preparing documentation and delivering product presentations. Key Responsibilities include:. * Build excellent relationships with key customers and provide market leading product development. * Ensure the delivery of Development projects assigned by the Product Development. * Support continuous product improvement including cost, quality and nutrition. * Lead cross functional teams to deliver agreed project objectives. * Produce kitchen scale samples to agreed quality standards. * Prepare accurate product costings. * Develop commercially viable and innovative products. Key Requirements:. * Degree, H.N.D. or equivalent, food related qualification. * Experience working in a similar Development role within food manufacturing, ideally chilled/bakery experience. * Experience of developing for retail customers. * Familiar with current food legislation. * Experience of preparing product costings. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, adaptable and conscientious, with good communication and team working skills. You will have a 'can do' attitude with the ability to drive projects forward to successful completion. This position comes with a competitive salary, £28,000 - £30,000PA DOE, Company performance related bonus, Pension and Life plan, 25 days annual leave,.
