Java Developer / Java Software Engineer (AKKA Java J2SE). Tier 1 Investment Bank is seeking a skilled Java Developer to join a talented team. You will design and develop complex, real-time algorithmic trading systems, working within a distributed environment. As a Java Developer, you will work closely with Quants across a broad range of projects, including the introduction of AKKA. Working throughout the full development lifecycle, you will help define the strategic architecture of our products and deliver exciting new technical innovations. These fantastic offices in the City offer a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you will use the latest technologies and techniques to devise elegant solutions for challenging issues. Requirements: *Extensive core Java J2SE development experience *Thorough understanding of computing fundamentals and software architecture *Experience of working on complex distributed systems *Experience / interest in using AKKA *Experience within a financial environment, ideally on algorithmic trading systems *Quick-thinking with advanced problem solving skills; pragmatic and flexible *Excellent communication skills As a Java Developer you can expect to earn a highly competitive salary (to £90k) plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including pension, private medical care and much more.
