Deputy Energy Manager Estates Services, The Malthouse, Oxford Grade 7: £30,738 - £37,768 p.a. Estates Services is responsible for the management and strategic direction of Oxford University's functional and commercial estate within Oxfordshire. This comprises some 450 buildings and the infrastructure associated with them. The Deputy Energy Manager is an important role within Estates Services. He/she is a key member of the Team that are reducing the consumption of energy and water on the University estate, ensuring the University achieves its carbon reduction targets and completing the University’s statutory carbon reporting. This post requires a highly motivated, enthusiastic and affable person with experience in the field of energy and water saving. Main duties of this role will include, but are not limited to: Responsible for the management and maintenance of the University energy monitoring, targeting and billing software system. Manage and deliver the University’s Display Energy Certificate (DECs) compliance process for all relevant buildings. Assist the Energy Manager producing annual statutory energy compliance reports. Assist the Energy manager completing the yearly energy costs forecasts for University departments. To promote through various means the benefits of efficient energy management across the University’s functional estate including existing and new buildings. The successful candidate will have a degree in Building Services Energy Management or an equivalent professional qualification. This post is part of a pilot scheme testing a new Supporting Evidence form in place of the more usual ‘supporting statement’.
