Data Centre Engineer Malvern/Worcestershire Up to £50,000.00 + benefits.   This is an opportunity to work for one of the leading suppliers of cutting edge software to the UK legal market. We are currently recruiting for a Data Centre Engineer to join our team.  The successful candidate will have a passion for IT and will have an excellent understanding of managing a High Availability infrastructure.  Theywill be familiar with Information Security procedures and must be have an ability to quickly analyse and apply remedies forinformation security threats, implement efficient procedures and have a solid understanding of the technology used such as Windows Server, SystemsCentreOperation Manager, VMWare, Symantec BackUpExec, Microsoft Exchangeand SQL Server.  This is a hands on role with potential to engage in assisting inarchitectural design and influencing the future approach to security. Role Capable of day to day responsibility forNetwork Operations and IT Security and to aid the strategic direction for the IT Security function as we expand. To work closely with the Quality Directorto manage day to day IT Security. Assist in defining, documenting and maintaining security baselines, standards, policy and procedures.This is a hands on role where a solid technical background is required to follow up with security patching of servers, firewalls, appliances and to measure the IT security posture. Main responsibilities include: Influence and implement security related policies and alerts/incidents Improve security logging, identification and management Improve automation and monitoring of systems Respond effectively to IT Security incidents Ensure compliance to ISO Regulations Help further develop our Infrastructure security architecture/designs, planning, controls, processes, and standards, Patch management of critical infrastructure across the Praccticeestate Ability to identify malicious files on Windows Server platforms EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS   Essential requirements : 3+ years direct experience administrating and operating IT Security solutions Understanding and experience of Vulnerability Assessment Tools Good understanding of information security control and governance frameworks, in particular ISO 27001 Technical hands-on experience with security tuning, package installation, patch management updates, network and server security management issues Experience with VMware infrastructure components (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, NSA/vCNS, etc) Administration of Firewalls (Cisco ASA) and Virtual Load Balancers (Kemp) Desirable skills: Ability to perform Investigations and Forensics Good awareness of Information Security, risk methodologies and risk management Knowledge of software quality assurance best practices EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above(or equivalent) 3 A-Level passes (or equivalent) Educated to degree level or equivalent experience ITIL certifications beneficial   The only constant in our business will be change.  We will be continuingly changing our software to take advantage of the newest technology and latest trends.  Our Network Engineer will work alongside our development team to ensure our infrastructure is tuned to deliverour software in the most effective manner.   28 days annualleaveincluding bank holidays   Any offers will be subject to satisfactory references and DBS checks
