THE ROLE: Technical Services Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical)- Duxford, Cambridgeshire As a Technical Services Engineer, you will be part of the multi-skilled team responsible for the control and maintenance of electrical, mechanical & Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) at our two distribution sites, Duxford and Papworth. Duties include the planned preventative maintenance (PPM), repair and improvement of business critical electro-mechanical systems such as uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems, standby power generators, and HVAC. This is a diverse and fulfilling role where you will assist in all aspects of building services, maintenance and in-house projects. You will need to share our values, be confident, focused on client satisfaction and have absolute commitment to the Health and Safety of yourself, your colleagues and our contractors. There will be a requirement to work an early, day, and late rotating shift pattern and will be expected to participate in an out-of hour’s rota call out system. EXPERIENCE:-Technical Services Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical)- Duxford, Cambridgeshire You will have a minimum electrical qualification of City & Guilds 2360 Part 1&2 or approved equivalent, proven installation and maintenance experience within commercial and industrial environments. You will have a certified and sound working knowledge of the 17th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671-2008) and desirably a City and Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing certificate or 2394 & 2395, HVAC qualifications are also highly desirable. KEY CRITERIA’S- Technical Services Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical)- Duxford, Extensive experience in maintaining a wide range of electro mechanical equipment and systems in a commercial and industrial environment Must be approved grade electricians, qualified to NVQ level 3 plus AM2 or equivalent to JIB Approved Electrician grade. Managing electrical installation, testing and maintenance projects Candidates must have at least one of the following: Certified City and Guilds 2382 to current IET wiring regulations (BS7671) Certified City and Guilds 2391 inspection and testing or the new equivalent qualification The following certifications would be advantageous, although training will be provided: Portable appliance testing, IOSH Working Safely, IPAF, PASMA, PUWER, L8 and Asbestos Awareness Managing electrical installation, testing and maintenance projects The closing date for receipt of applications is 6 March 2016 and interviews will be held on 17 March 2016
