Senior Operations Technician. Dereham, Norfolk. Package up to £32,000pa to £34,000. Our client currently require a Regional Plant Operator / Plant Operative / Operations Technician with an Electrical / Mechanical Engineering background to plan & execute operations & maintenance activities of 24/7 process plants providing renewable power to local surrounding areas. They are one of the UK's leading proponents of renewable electrical power generation in their sector. As the Senior Operator or "Floating Operator", you will be responsible for performance of several plants under direction of an Operations Manager, feeding fuel (renewable), conducting routine maintenance & supervising maintenance by 3rd party personnel. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in working as a plant operator / production process environment, perhaps using large engines / plant / utilities & have an electrical engineering bias but with some mechanical skills, perhaps being from a marine engineering background or ex army or Royal Navy background. Fault finding experience very advantageous plus IT literacy is important & a relevant engineering qualification, preferably at HNC level or apprenticeship would be very advantageous. You ideally should also hold a full, clean driving licence & be able to respond to out of hours emergencies with support from management. Sites are located across Norfolk, a location near Dereham or commutable would be advantageous.
