Here at Ultra Electronics Airport Systems we are looking for a Senior Automated Test Engineer to join our busy team based in Wythenshawe, Manchester on a full time basis working Monday-Friday. The successful applicant will receive a competitive starting salary subject to skills and experience. As our Senior Automated Test Engineer , you will be responsible for working as part of an agile test team testing items completed during a sprint. The role holder will also have responsibility for mentoring more junior members of the team. The Senior Automated Test Engineer duties and key responsibilities:. - Creating automated tests using a variety of third party testing tools. - Creating and maintaining automated regression tests. - Executing automated, functional, and performance tests. - Following up on automated test results, documenting and, or tracking issues and explaining them to other members of the development team. - Develop, maintain and or upgrade the QA test automation framework so that the value the tests bring can be understood by the team. - Mentoring less experienced automation testers and providing technical expertise as required. - Working closely with the development team to collaborate and influence new development. - Participating in daily scrum stand-up meetings and explaining progress and issues encountered. What are we looking for in our Senior Automated Test Engineer?. - Can react quickly and confidently to urgent situations. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Excellent attention to detail. - Passionate about quality. - Interested in participating in test team meetings and happy contributing to process improvements. - Comfortable working with minimal documentation. - Ability to work proactively and efficiently ensuring daily tasks are completed. Essential qualifications/knowledge. - ISTQB Qualified tester (foundation or higher) with several years of proven automation testing experience. - Passionate about helping teams to build a set of automated test suites in line with a continuous delivery strategy, including test runs monitoring, reducing the time it takes to run scripts, grouping and prioritizing tests suits. - Experience of automated test scripts that work in conjunction with Silverlight technologies. - Advanced coding skills in C# and Java. - Experienced in automating tests in particular tests for web services including reading and writing to a database. - Experienced working on Windows and Linux operating systems. - Highly technical and hands on. Desirable:. - Continuous Integration using Jenkins (building / testing software projects continuously). - Selenium. - TestNG. - Gradle. - HTML/CSS/JavaScript and the Document Object Model. - NUnit. - JMeter for load testing and performance analysis. - Team Foundation Server. - Package Manager NUGET. - Creating and maintaining virtual machines. - Experience of working within an Agile development environment.
