My client provide a unique opportunity for the successful UI Developer to create leading software that delivers state of the art capabilities for both UK and International clients. Their systems are developed for a wide range of significant defence projects of which you will help to develop the next-generation of Sonar technologies. Being a key member of the Software Development team based in Manchester, and will have the opportunity to collaborate with other team internationally on projects.. Responsibilities & tasks. Key responsibilities will range from the design, implementation and test of Human Computer Interface, to Acoustic processing and middleware products. Define solutions by working with Systems Engineering to develop requirements and a test strategy. Develop their systems by working as a key member of a project team to deliver a high quality, robust software deliverable that meets customer requirements, on time and within budget. Support their systems by working with customer support functions to ensure that currently deployed software products are maintained on both land and at sea. Always keeping knowledge in line with the best industry standard tools and methods. Essential requirements. A solid foundation in computer science. Strong programming skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Benefits:-. Salary dependant on experience. Flexitime - 37 hour week with core hours between 9.30-4 but with a 9.30-12 on Fridays.
