Production Planner - £34000 - Chichester - FPR Group Job code H1843. We are working with a renowned food manufacturer in West Sussex to help them find a strong Production Planner work in a fast paced environment to help them manage a £23million budget. You would be liaising closely with a variety of internal departments including Production, Purchasing, Finance, Quality, Sales, Forecasting, Logistics, etc. You would be working out of their site in Chichester, they can offer you a salary of £32000 to £34000 per annum, 33 days holiday including the bank hols, a 10% employer pension contribution, free parking and a dynamic career!. The main part of your job will be to manage the planning of allocated production lines within budget and to keep target service levels. You would be working with a multimillion pound budget and a 300 strong product base of finished goods. You role will include ensuring that customer service levels are maintained within agreed tolerances and finished goods stock levels are maintained within agreed tolerances, to meet production/customer requirements. This would suit an experienced Production Planner who is comfortable dealing with a large product that is regulated and fast moving. You will be dealing with food products so experience in a FMCG environment would be ideal but a strong production planner with closely related experience (electronics etc.) would also be considered. You would be better equipped for the role if you have had exposure to working with large budgets, high volume manufacturer. You will ideally be educated to higher vocational level in a logistic oriented subject or something similar. The role will offer you a lot of job satisfaction and autonomy so you will need to have a strong background in production planning and scheduling. They use SAP so if you have experience of this that would be useful but training can be provided as long as you have experience in something similar. Strong communication skills will help you build relationships with internal departments, this role would suit someone who is confident in their skills. Due to the nature of the role, someone who is results-oriented and enjoys achieving deadlines would be happiest in the role. You will be working in an ever changing environment which makes the role interesting and exciting but you need to have a flexible mentality.
