Morson International are currently recruiting a Non Destructive Testing (NDT) - Ultrasonic Level 2 Inspector to work for our client; an international, market leading Aerospace Engineering Company. As the NDT Level 2 Inspector you will be mainly responsible for the inspection of composite and metal components using numerous UT methods whilst following internal and external procedures/documents, remaining under instruction of the NDT Supervisor. Key Responsibilities: * Frequent communication with the NDT Supervisor to understand objectives. * Inspection of composite/metal components to make sure that they are of the precise standard. * Deliver support/information with regards to all components to the business. * To adhere to procedures which include Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People (SQCDP). * Regular upkeep of records/documentation (to ensure organisational and industry standards are upheld therefore traceability remains explicitly clear). * Undertaking training and development set by the Supervisor (Lean 101 Training, Code of Conduct and continuous professional development in accordance to any shortfalls within training matrices). * To contribute and undertake 6S improvements. * To support cost reduction initiatives by introducing new ideas or removing waste and non-value added time or operations to increase profitability whilst maintaining compliance. * To support NDT Supervisor with the maintenance of skills planning and training matrices. As the ideal candidate you will have the ability to carry out tasks with accuracy in compliance to specific instructions and objectives that you have been given. Essentially you will be UT Qualified to EN1479 standard and hold experience in a Manufacturing/Aerospace production environment. Although not essential, it would be desirable if you have experience with aerospace composite components working with ultrasonic techniques such as; C Scan, A Scan and Phased . You will also be expected to have the ability to use a range of UT equipment whilst having understanding of document writing. If you hold the relevant skills and experience, please apply.
