Knowledge Manager | Technical Documentation Manager (Software). Location: London, City - Old Street / Liverpool street office base. Salary: Up to £65K basic + Benefits package. Superb opportunity to be the main lead on all things Knowledge Management, documentation & Technical Writing across the entire business; grow, develop & build the function!. The Senior Knowledge Managers principle function is to help align the company`s diverse and extensive knowledge, information and education materials to contribute towards the best possible user experience for all clients outside of the software products themselves. To be successful you will need to work closely at a senior level with many other areas of the business, collating and integrating content in various medias, and creating content in the their own right. The role will have an early focus on the production and improvement of the client facing Education materials including but not limited to face to face, Computer based training and exam and accreditation material as well as finessing the technical documentation produced by the various software teams. Due to the complex nature of the product lines a good degree of technical skill will be required of the Knowledge Manger, who will have to be hands on with the technology and where appropriate any related systems. It is envisaged that after around 6 months you will hire a Knowledge Analyst who will work alongside you. Essential Duties and responsibilities. Manage the strategic deployment of knowledge to the client, to ensure the best possible User Experience (outside of the software itself). Work closely with the other technical departments within the business, to integrate and enhance your own knowledge content into the wider picture, notably the software teams who produce the reference guide material. Talk a leading role in the creation and maintenance of face to face and self-learning Education material for the product lines in appropriate media formats to create high quality, easily accessible and relevant training content for both new users and those looking to specialise in product areas. Create and maintain the training environments that delegates use while being trained (for example appropriate VM`s and Application software). Design and build exam and accreditation systems for delegates who have received training and want to gain formal accreditation. Work collaboratively with and mentor the Knowledge Analyst to help achieve the above.
