**Interim Researcher - c12 months contract -£600 day rate Ltd - Government Organisation - Leeds**. Our client is a Government Organisation based in Leeds who are looking for an Interim Researcher (Digital) to join their team on an c12 months contract. Planning, designing and conducting in-house usability testing sessions to support the design and development of digital services. Leading the usability testing process from developing user recruitment briefs through to test moderation, analysis and report writing. Conducting in-house research to test new product and concept developments (including user requirements gathering and early stage concept and prototype testing, research, and other approaches to ensuring the user need is fully understood in the service design). Working with Service Managers to devise appropriate research strategies to generate focused insights and to convert concepts into high quality stimulus material. Working closely with designers and developers to turn user data into actionable product/service requirements that feed into prototype development, and influence product direction. Presenting findings and related design/business recommendations and customer insights to senior decision makers. Ideal experience required for this role:. Ideally Degree educated in HCI/ Usability/ Cognitive Psychology/ Market Research or related field would be advantageous. Previous Digital User Researcher or Researcher or equivalent experience. Ideally have worked within large scale organisations - ideally within a research and digital environments. Proven track record of gathering insight to develop a new service or programme. Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, with the ability to translate business issues and needs into relevant, actionable research plans and objectives. Extensive experience of the research process, including drafting discussion guides, recruiting respondents, organising test venues and mobilising resources. Extensive experience of qualitative and quantitative research. Ability to draw and present sound conclusions based on qualitative and quantitative evidence. Strong moderating and interviewing skills. Experience of working within agile, including defining user needs is desirable. Good understanding of user-centred design practices. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to present research findings in a creative and compelling way. Please note this role will require UK Security Clearance therefore applicants must be security clearable.
