Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust is currently building a brand new internal Information Technology service in response to the announced closure of the Kent and Medway Health Informatics Service, our current service provider, in April. This is an extremely exciting development for us and we are looking for capable, enthusiastic, and passionate technology professionals to join us. We are extremely keen to deliver a user-experience that is second to none, founded on dependable and high-performing technology. Over the last year we have replaced all our data storage systems, all our servers, all our datacentre fabric, and about one-third of all our computers. Next year will be no less ambitious with the replacement of our wireless networks, replacement of another one-third of our computers, planning the replacement of our wide-area network and of course, establishing a brand new IT support service. The IT Support team will be based at Sittingbourne in the county of Kent and will provide technology systems and services to more than 3,500 staff. Our technology is served from two datacentres with additional systems being externally hosted. The ICT Enterprise Architect is a full-time (37.5 hr week) technical consultant role. Reporting to the Service Manger for ICT Transformation, the post-holder will be the trusts primary technology consultant for ICT transformation projects. Technical consultants are expected to have significant expertise and experience in order to research and select suitable technologies, implement and integrate those technologies into the trusts technology ecosystem, manage those systems in order to maximise performance and availability, and in order to understand and resolve deep-rooted and complex problems.
