DevOps Engineer / Technical Operations Engineer (Linux OOP TCP/IP Java Python C#). International prop trading organisation is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to support low-latency e-trading systems. You will troubleshoot challenging issues to minimise downtime and deploy applications quickly. As a DevOps Engineer you will take a critical eye to the current operational processes, ranging from writing tools to deploy, monitor or analyse systems, through to taking part in core application reviews, collecting metrics or documenting support processes. Working closely with developers, traders, researchers and data engineers, you will play a vital role in ensuring this technology-driven business has the solutions to remain at the forefront of this highly competitive industry. Based in the City this is a friendly, collaborative environment with a casual dress code where you will be actively encouraged to continuously grow your skillset and knowledge. Requirements: *Enthusiast with a passion for technology *Willing and able to choose the right tool for the job *Strong knowledge of Linux and associated tools *Ability to code in at least one OO language (Java, Python, C# preferred) *Good knowledge of networking technologies (TCP/IP, UDP, Wireshark) *Familiar with databases, able to find what you're looking for and analyse data *Advocate of Deployment tools / Continuous Integration tools (Ansible, Jenkins) and monitoring tools (Graylog, Riemann) *Excellent communication skills, collaborative team member with great interpersonal skills As a DevOps Engineer / Technical Operations Engineer you can expect to earn a competitive salary (to £80k) plus bonus and benefits.
