One of the biggest online organisations are looking to bring on board 5 Cloud SYstems Engineers that will be responsible for defining and leading the technology direction for specific core infrastructure technologies. These roles offer the ability for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to remain 'hands-on' whilst also leading a team of experienced engineers. My client delivers services across Web and Mobile channels with both Private and Public Cloud Infrastructure systems. You will ideally possess a strong level of technical knowledge in the following areas:. - Linux / RedHat / RHEL. - Hardware (HP / Dell). - VMWare - vSphere 5.5 / 6. - Storage. - Automation - Puppet / Chef / Ansible / Salt experience (beneficial). - Continuous integration / deployment tools e.g Huson, Jenkins, Jira (beneficial). Applicants will ideally posses a wealth of experience in delivering the full lifecycle from technical requirements gathering, high level architecture, design, documentation, build and handover into operations. You will be driven by new technology and have a track record of researching, selecting, adopting and deploying new technologies to deliver business benefit. In this role the successful Cloud Systems Engineers will work closely with the Infrastructure Architects, Head of Infrastructure Delivery and Platform Managers to assist with defining the strategy for the infrastructure technologies covering network architecture, data centre, enterprise storage, data and high availability technologies, virtualisation and cloud infrastructure. Reporting into the Head of Cloud Delivery this is an exciting environment where the successful Cloud Systems Engineers will gain direct access to driving forward a team working on the latest infrastructure technologies covering Virtualisation, Linux, Windows, Networking and Storage platforms.
