Hove Village is one of the largest and most unique children's day nurseries in Sussex. We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to join our fast-growing team. This is a varied role and requires someone who likes to be very meticulous in their work. We offer benefits including a discounted onsite café and more. Any relevant qualifications are welcome, but bookkeeping / accounts experience within a small or medium sized business is vital. Duties include: -. * Invoicing. * Fee collection. * Chasing invoices / credit control. * Bank reconciliation. * Producing reports. * Supplier payments. * Month End and Year End. * Dealing with Local Education Authority and Childcare Voucher scheme providers and matching payments. * Managing utility bill / supplier accounts. We use modern online accounts and management systems for all of the above, so you must have experience of at least one computerised accounts system, such as Sage, Quickbooks, Xero, Kashlow etc. Microsoft Excel and Word experience is also essential. Any experience with school or nursery management systems will be an advantage, but is not essential. In order to comply with safeguarding of children in our care, you must be willing to have regular DBS (formally CRB checks) and references will be taken up upon appointment. There may be scope to also do some work for our sister organisation (will also be based in Hove). Start as soon as possible. Please apply with your C.V.
