An exciting opportunity has arisen within the PruIT Web/Mobile development and support team. This team build and maintain strategic IT systems for Prudential, promoting engineering focused development methodologies and driving innovation. As a Web Developer you’ll be responsible for development, design and test of major IT solutions as well as be given the opportunity to create POC’s and play with new technologies in our Digital innovation labs. You’ll also be responsible for the continuous operability of assigned platforms, manage the impacts and risks of associated activities and adhere to policies and standards as appropriate. A strong ability to interpret and implement system change from business requirements and a high degree of analytical problem solving in complex enterprise systems and web technologies is essential. To be successful in this role you’ll have previous experience in the IT industry, possess a proactive and positive “can do” attitude, with a good mix of the following skills and experience:- Excellent: Java / JavaScript / JSP / JSTL Integration of web APIs - REST/JSON/XML Agile Scrum methods Strong: Subversion, Eclipse Adobe Experience Manager PHP HTML 5, CSS 3, SASS System design, design patterns, OO concepts, Unit Testing, TDD/BDD. Desirable: Atlassian Jira Awareness: Project management principles, tools and methodologies. System development lifecycle both Agile and waterfall project delivery.
