Job description:
A small, growing Medical Diagnostics company are seeking a Software Engineer with 2-5 years experience of Android Development to join their team on a Permanent basis. The role will involve full life-cycle Mobile Application Development in Android and Java for improving their current projects and looking forward to exciting new areas of development, all geared towards making Medical-Diagnostics more efficient for patients, practitioners and users. You will develop the Android Application which controls the Hardware for improving current devices and new exciting areas of development. The company will also help you in developing skills and learning Medical-Device Standards to add value to the future project road-map. The company are based in Birmingham with a small, friendly company atmosphere and the chance to be a pivotal figure in new development on a variety of projects in an exciting area and growing Medical Industry. The company may consider some flexible or remote working for candidates who are interested but based outside of a commuting distance. Any previous experience developing Quality Driven Software and experience of Medical-Device Standards would be highly beneficial in developing quality, robust code. As a Software Engineer for the company you will have a background in some of the following areas:. Android full life-cycle development (Essential). Java, OOA (Essential). XAML. Version Control: GIT or Mercurial ideal. Bluetooth Low Energy. Awareness of Medical-Device Standards e.g. ISO-13485 or IEC-62304 is by no means essential but awareness of these frameworks or other regulations from other quality-driven industries will be extremely beneficial.
