Senior Data Manager – Big Data, NoSQL, AWS, Hadoop, Scala, Analytics, Spark, Redshift, Oracle This is a fantastic Senior Data Manager position with a leading London based global tech company. This is an opportunity as Senior Data Manager, to create brand new Big Data projects, platforms and campaigns from scratch, using existing systems as well as an innovative approach. As Senior Data Manager, you will need an in depth understand of Big Data and associated technologies. A degree of hands on skills as well as data architecture and infrastructure knowledge is required particularly around SQL, Unix and AWS. In addition, in depth knowledge of Agile and related processes is a must as Senior Data Manager. Whilst hands on technical skills with the following are highly beneficial Hadoop, Spark, Redshift, Python, Scala a knowledge of most if not all (to some degree)  is  essential as Senior Data Manager. There is a preference for a Senior Data Manager with a Software Engineering or Sys Admin background, database wise, in addition to NoSQL, Oracle is particularly relevant. DSP, AppNexus or DM experience is ideal as Senior Data Manager but not essential as is HDFS. The main things required are relevant Big Data Expertise, experience with the associated tools and processes, and a hands on approach to be able to use the systems. Essential skills as Big Data Manager Proven track record in the Big Data space Hands on skills around SQL, Unix and AWS Knowledge of most if not all of the following; Hadoop, Spark, Redshift, Python, Scala Ability to build data systems and platforms from scratch Oracle Desirable skills as Big Data Manager SW Eng or Sys Admin background DSP, AppNexus or DM Marketing industry experience This really is an exceptional Big Data Manager opportunity and the chance to use your skills to shape the role and systems whilst working with the latest innovative solutions and technically outstanding teams.
