Nursery Nurse job | SEN Support | Primary School and Nursery | Islington | Immediate start Your new company The school is an Ofsted rated Good with Outstanding Features Primary School and Nursery in Islington, looking for an experienced and passionate Nursery Nurse to join their dedicated staff team and offer support to children aged 0-4. Your new role You will be required to work with key children, predominantly aged 2-4, some of whom require additional support due to Special Educational Needs statements. Therefore you will be required to have previous experience of supporting children with SEN, specifically those with Autism and challenging behaviour. Due to the statemented children you will be working with, you will be required to work closely with the Early Years Coordinator and on some occasions the SENDCo to ensure the best possible education and support is set up for the key children and they are prepared for the transition from Nursery into Reception. What youll need to succeed To be considered for the position you must be degree educated to NVQ level 6, however NVQ level 3 and above will also be considered, have previous experience of working within an Early Years or Primary setting, have experience of supporting pupils with SEN, preferably Autism, have excellent behaviour management skills and excellent communication skills What youll get in return This is an excellent opportunity for a Nursery Nurse who is looking for further responsibilities within their role by working closely with Senior members of staff, such as the Early Years Coordinator and working with clear targets, both for themselves and for the children they support.
