Job title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Job description:
We have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join a global electronics manufacturing company based in Hook. This is a multi-functional role encompassing a broad depth of Quality Assurance skills working for an electronic solutions provider within the high specification telecommunications industry. You must be flexible to work extended hours with the possibility of shifts, working on and off site. You will receive a salary of £30k - £34k + healthcare, bonus and pension scheme and 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays. The role You will be responsible for both project based QA and maintaining the Quality Management System to accreditor’s requirements. Further requirements include inspecting product to IPC610 standards and supplier assurance. Your key responsibilities will include: • Providing the expertise to identify, promote and implement improvement initiatives • Lead the investigation of Non-Conformances to their resolution • Proactively support the business throughout the whole project lifecycle • Participate or chair assurance gate reviews • Manage, conduct, report and communicate on all assurance activities across the company to actively support risk management / mitigation, compliance to requirements / processes and improvement • Ensure corrective and preventive actions are in place and managed where issues occur • Represent the company indirect material supply assurance at all appropriate reviews and meetings • Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word & Power Point • Administration of Quality Management Systems • ISO9001 & 14001 Auditing skills • Health and Safety • Training, Learning and Development What you’ll need • Experience within a similar role or electrical/electronics manufacturing environment. • Experience working to IPC 610/620. • Experience in working to MOD/Aerospace standards • FAI Inspection skills to IPC standards The company Our client is a global contract electronics manufacturer, serving world-class customers in high-reliability industries by providing a complete set of electronics design and manufacturing solutions in both printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) and full box-build manufacturing.
