Job Title: IT Manager Location: Birmingham Salary: £32,000 Job Type: Full Time (37 Hours) Our Client is seeking an IT Manager to be based at their prestigious Museum and Art Gallery site to take a key role in supporting the work of the Trust. Working with their third-party providers to deliver an effective IT service across nine sites, the ideal candidate will be a well-rounded technically minded individual with proven experience of IT service management and delivery who is able to deliver a high level of complimentary support to their organisation. Accountabilities: * Provide full management and 2nd / 3rd line support of the IT infrastructure providing complimentary systems support to users and business projects. * Manage 3rd party outsourced support providers. Assist in diagnosing hardware/software faults and resolution of technical and application problems. * Manage IT system project work including rollout of company-wide CRM, ticketing and ePOS systems * Support the development of MIS / reporting in conjunction with the CRM Business Analyst (direct report) Key Responsibilities: * Manage all aspects of IT systems across all sites maintaining technical documentation while providing timely information and assistance to all internal users and external support contractors. * Managing delegated operational IT and funded project budgets and all contracts for the procurement and provision of hardware, software licensing and any ongoing IT support requirements. * Be a key figure in the procurement and subsequent deployment of MIS for the trust providing technical input where necessary. * Alongside the primary support contractor procure and manage the roll-out of new IT equipment, upgrades and maintenance of applications * Working with external support provider to help troubleshoot systems, backups, archiving, and disaster recovery issues. Setting up of new users and permissions. * Responsibility for PCI-DSS 3.0 / 3.1 technical compliance and other information security requirements in conjunction with other internal teams. * Maintain the organisations multi-site public access Cisco Wireless System (5508) * Manage SonicWALL firewall, remote access control rules and internet access permissions for internal staff working with 3rd party provider where necessary. * Support of the multi-site telephone system (Asterisk), provisioning handsets and installing handsets. * Provide timely information and reporting to the trust senior management team, gathering information for use in reporting of user trend analysis and KPI's * Ensure that the organisations' assets are maintained and accurately recorded * Manage software licensing compliance on a company-wide basis * Comply with and help to enforce standard company policies & procedures * Relay relevant IT related information to the company in a timely manner Essential Qualifications and Experience: * Minimum NVQ level 3 in an IT related discipline or relevant demonstrable experience * Formal qualifications in English and Maths. * Microsoft Windows 2012 server support. User administration, configuration of group policies, anti-virus, email systems * Experience of supporting Windows desktop systems and applications, Apple Mac and tablet devices * VMWare vSphere administration and storage systems (SAN) * Understanding of information security, specifically PCI-DSS technical requirements * Line Management or Team Leader experience as part of a small, dedicated technical team * Full lifecycle management of large technical projects (to a value of 250k) using third party suppliers and contractors * Configuration of network devices and VLAN's etc. * Understanding of network infrastructure (DNS, DHCP etc.) Desired Experience and Knowledge: * Microsoft server accreditations (MCP / MCITP) in server technology * CCENT/CCNA * VCP * Degree in an IT-related discipline * Experience of Linux-based systems (CentOS or similar) * Experience of HP Procurve switch administration and configuration * SharePoi
