Fully Qualified Accountant is required for 4 months, based in Central London Government accounting/year end work in a private company is essential Need to be available for the entire duration and not have any annual leave booked during this time period as you can appreciate leading up to year end is the busiest period for finance. Experience of Oacle systems Management accounting Financial analysis Costing No leave during this time Paid for hours work not time of in lieu Purpose To support the Finance Team in producing for financial year 2015-16: Government Office Annual Report and Accounts Registrar of Consultant Lobbyists Statement of Accounts Returning Officers Expenses England and Wales Statement of Accounts Whole of Government Accounts submission ?To contribute to ?audit liaison work Accruals and other adjustments Trial Balance reconciliations Balance sheet reconciliations Duties Review the audit plans for the audited annual returns Identify and follow up any issues and provide assurance that the plans are robust. Review the audit reports accompanying the audited annual returns, identify and follow up any issues and provide assurance that the reports are satisfactory. Develop systems for forecasting and reporting the operational activities in the departmental accounts and be responsible for the ongoing execution of that system. Qualified chartered accountant with sound knowledge of the standards and practices involved in auditing statutory company accounts. Present complex financial information clearly both verbally and in writing to support organisational decision-making. Collaborating and partnering - the post holder will need to work with internal and external contacts from a wide range of disciplines, including analysis and accountancy. Delivering value for money - ability to identify risks to accuracy of payments to the Department and to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial controls. Managing a quality service - delivering a high quality and efficient operational service. Delivering at pace - the role will require an individual who can get up to speed quickly and work independently in a new area.
