The Dare Food Group Head Baker  Newcastle Upon Tyne A head Baker is required to join our team in our bakery business located in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Working in-between our central bakery and outlet. Our products are highly intricate and decorative and will require a high degree of hand moulding skill.  The quality and finishing required is extremely high as well as your consistency. Working from our recipes you will be responsible for the daily production needs for supplying the bakery products for the outlet.  You should have a good amount of experience working in the bakery industry and have developed skilled hand moulding and other various techniques.  The bakery world is an innovative industry we would expect you to have a passion and to thrive in this competitive industry and to introduce new products to the market as well as, you will be encouraged to develop your own recipes and ideas. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and decorating the bakery products from patisserie to Artisan Bread’s. Complete the method to the exacting standards. Conduct quality control checks. Maintain a record on stock and inventory levels. Manage stock levels and initiate replenishment orders. Ensure the kitchen area is kept clean and organised. Ensure that the equipment is used in a safe and correct manner. Morning preparation. Ensure H&S best practices are adhered to. HACCP compliance. Previous experience in the following areas is desired: • Using the Kitchen equipment. • Meeting deadlines for production batches. • Techniques and final decoration. • Previous experience in a similar position is preferred.
