Well, if so, we might have just the job for you. We are currently looking to recruit a General Manager for The Rose, situated on the High street of Bedford town centre. Bedford is home to the second largest free outdoor event after the famous Notting Hill carnival which attracts upto 35,000 people into the town and boasts direct links to Luton Airport and London St Pancras International station. The Rose is a traditional pub, just a 10 minutes’ walk from Bedford’s travel links and is at the heart of the town’s nightlife hub. Famous for sports utilising both Sky and BT sports packages; it also has a vibrant drinks trade at weekends, known for the ‘Rose til Close’ big night out atmosphere. The Rose is also complimented by Bedford’s largest beer garden, with an additional three plasma screens and a great garden bar – perfect for those lazy summer afternoon and warm evenings. The ideal candidate must be experienced in running a similar pub, demonstrating strong links of sales growth within a community and a county town complimented with an obsession for standards and service. The successful applicant will also be able to adapt to fit the needs of the changing customer profiles with a desire to lead and develop a well-established team. You will need to be able to demonstrate great leadership skills and the ability to build a high performing team in order to control, develop and improve all aspects of the business including: P&L, people, standards, legal compliance, service and brand integrity.
