This is a Fantastic opportunity for an experienced, forward thinking and assertive Learning Disabilities or Mental Health Nurse, working as a Deputy Manager within a specialist rehabilitation hospital offering expert care specialising in Learning Disabilities, Mental Health and Personality Disorders. Job Role Purpose * RNLD or RMN Deputy Manager Nurse will be closely involved in delivering clinical care and treatment to service users. * Together with an already established management team you will manage the staff team and clinical care of the service. * The successful candidate will have knowledge of the Mental Health Act, be person-centred and be passionate about delivering high quality care * Have excellent decision making skills, excellent organisational capability, effective communication skills and a strong "can do" attitude * Reporting to the Registered Manager the Deputy Manager will be a vital member of the management team carrying our client's statement of purpose * Implement the requirements of the National Minimum Standards, Independent health care regulations 2001, Mental Health Act 1983,as amended in 2007, other legislative requirements and all company policies and procedures, providing a homely & safe environment that meets patient's individual needs and facilitates integration with the local community About You Must be driven, motivated and committed to providing industry leading care and service. Experience of the Adult Learning Disabilities & Mental Health sector is essential. * You will already have experience at RMN/RNLD level and be seeking a role to consolidate your experience. * You will have team management, staff appraisal and staff supervision experience. * You will be competent in controlling a service budget, record keeping and report writing. * You will preferably have a minimum of two years management experience in a Learning Disabilities and Mental Health setting. * You will have working knowledge of the Care Quality Commission.
