Job Title: Cardiology, Respiratory, Vascular and Pain Management Team Leader Location: Nottingham Hours: Full time Remuneration: Up to £30K depending on experience We are now recruiting a Cardiology, Respiratory, Vascular and Pain Management Team Leader to start as soon as possible at our private hospital based in Nottingham. About the role - Cardiology, Respiratory, Vascular and Pain Management Team Leader In your role as Cardiology, Respiratory, Vascular and Pain Management Team Leader you will be responsible for: * Acting as deputy to the Senior Nurse * Ensuring high quality, evidence-based care is offered to the patients * Identifying the common issues which affect the quality of care and devising clear action plans to address any shortcomings * Supporting the Lead Nurse in ensuring clinical audit takes place in line with the Treatment Centre’s requirements to improve practice * Working with the Lead Nurse to identify hazards relating to clinical and non-clinical risks * Acting as a role model and a teacher and working alongside other staff * Visiting all patients in the Gateway in the absence of the Lead Nurse * Ensuring that all nursing documentation is regularly and appropriately reviewed and updates with changes implemented * Undertaking a Training Needs Analysis within the defined clinical area * Ensuring all staff in the defined clinical area are competent in the use of equipment and has access to appropriate training * Ensuring that the best practice that should be undertaken is shared with colleagues in the directorate, division and the Treatment Centre * Helping staff to use clinical information within the department to help improve the quality of patient care * Creating a culture where staff has appropriate authority over issues that contribute to the provision of essential care * Being a visible point of contact for patients, visitors, relatives and staff Requirements - Cardiology, Respiratory, Vascular and Pain Management Team Leader To be considered for the role of Cardiology, Respiratory, Vascular and Pain Management Team Leader, you'll need to demonstrate: * RN/RGN * Relevant experience i.e. evidence of recent practice in Cardiology, Respiratory, Vascular and Pain Management in an Outpatient Setting. * Demonstrable record of Continuing Professional Development. * Ability to teach/coach peers, junior staff & trainees * Good communication & team building skills * Excellent standard of patient/client care * Demonstrates organisational /leadership abilities * Relate well to all staff. * Motivator of staff and colleagues.
