Our client is a global motorcycle manufacturing company situated in Hinckley and Thailand whilst having additional assembly plants in Brazil and India. They are currently seeking Buyers to join their busy Purchasing Team who will be responsible for the sourcing of motorcycle components world-wide. The Role:. Key responsibilities include:. * Sourcing new suppliers/technologies. * Managing supplier relationship. * Negotiating contracts/pricing and ensuring on time in full deliveries. The Purchasing Team play an instrumental role in ensuring the quality and profitability of the motorcycles we manufacture and are at the centre of our everyday business activities. The Person:. The ideal Buyer for this role will possess the following:. * A relevant Business Studies, Supply Chain, Procurement or Engineering related qualification would be preferable. Alternatively we would consider the right candidate who can demonstrate experience of working within a role which required good commercial awareness and business acumen. * Strong numerical, verbal and written skills and experience of concise and accurate report writing. * Good communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with Design and Manufacturing colleagues in addition to external suppliers and other Buyers. * Good negotiation, project management and problem solving skills. * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. * The ability to apply logical reasoning to situations and strong organisational skills. * The flexibility to travel worldwide for supplier visits.
