Job Title: Pursuit Lead - Defence Contracts. Location: Basingstoke. The Role:. Fujitsu Defence & National Security Division (DNS) is looking for a senior sales focused leader with experience of, and a network within, the Defence and Security industry to own Fujitsu's relationship into this sector and to lead major sales campaigns. Following a very successful 2015/16, which included securing the MOD's Global Connectivity contract, Fujitsu's DNS Division has identified demand for its services amongst major defence and security providers in the UK and wider. We are seeking an experienced business developer who will advance opportunities and also lead major pursuits into this sector. This role will suit a proven sales professional with a Defence Industry background. Skills and Experience Required:. - A demonstrable and successful track record in new business which can be evidenced together with experience of working within the Defence and Security sector. - Experienced leader who has successfully managed teams with diverse skills, within a matrix organisation. - Experience of managing complex, multi-stakeholder environments, where many parties can influence a decision. - Experience of developing and implementing service solutions - not just selling a ready packaged product. - Good knowledge of the UK Defence and Security industry in the UK and ideally into Europe as well along with the ability to grow their own established networks rapidly. - Maximises relationships within Fujitsu, industry networks and with MOD to identify and shape customers' needs at the earliest stages of the buying cycle. - Able to plan and lead a campaign and follow this through to an effective and efficient bid process. - Has an in-depth understanding of how to manage finances associated with multiple, long term and highly complex sales. - Successfully negotiates and closes business adopting a forward thinking, planned and systematic approach to progress negotiations at key decision points and gain sign off. - What we offer.
