Archaeology and Tylor Anthropology Librarian University of Oxford – Bodleian Libraries Sackler Library, 1 St John Street, Oxford, OX1 2LG and Tylor Library, 51 Banbury Road, Oxford, OX2 6PE Grade 7: £30,738 - £37,768 per annum   The Bodleian Libraries are seeking to appoint a flexible and service-oriented individual to deliver subject-based library services to the School of Archaeology and the School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography. You would provide library support for research, teaching and learning including collection development, information skills development and consultancy services, and would manage the Tylor Library for Social and Cultural Anthropology.  As part of a network of subject librarians, you would provide research support in a range of areas such as scholarly communications and open access, research data management, copyright and public engagement, and you would develop particular functional expertise in linked data and the semantic web.   Essential skills and experience we are looking for include: - knowledge of archaeology and/or anthropology as a subject area and genuine enthusiasm for the disciplines; - an informed understanding of information needs and uses, research methodologies and scholarly communications.   You will be committed to building effective working relationships with academics and students, hold a degree in library and information science or a relevant academic discipline, preferably both, and have an informed understanding of the aims of library support in a major academic institution.   This is a full-time permanent post.   Due to the nature of this post, candidates will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check as well as a financial background check.
