Therapy Nurse Specialist RMN For Mental Health Hospital Would you like to work in a dynamic, psychologically:minded team? Excellent opportunity for Therapy Nurse Specialist RMN to work with medium and low secure service, providing personalised assessment and treatment programmes for male and female service users with complex care needs, histories of offending, along with those who may have failed in previous placements. The successful candidate will be offered an excellent salary of GBP24,000 : GBP28,000 per annum depending on experience plus other fantastic benefits. We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) who are keen to extend their skill set and role to deliver therapeutic interventions through groups and individual therapy. Those recruited to these posts would be asked to: -Take an active role in the DBT agenda on the unit by: offering individual therapy to service users on the unit; participating in regular team consultative forums; facilitating therapy groups; supporting service users to complete therapeutic tasks; offering targeted, individual DBT skills coaching to service users requiring crisis support; attending supervision, reflective practice and consultation with the unit's psychologist. -Conducting risk assessments with service users as required -Acting as a primary nurse This role would suit reliable, committed, forward:thinking RMNs with a passion for working psychologically. It would be especially appropriate for RMNs interested in becoming valued members of a collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team and taking an active role in the therapeutic agenda on the ward. As this role is to support service users with complex mental health difficulties, successful candidates would gain comprehensive insight into working with multiple mental health issues such as self:harm, eating disorders, psychosis, trauma, attention deficit and autistic spectrum conditions.
