Description of the Role. We are looking for a qualified RGN with current NMC registration, to cover a period of maternity leave in our Bangor Renal Unit, working part time - 24 hours per week. You will be required to provide a safe, high quality, holistic nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment in the renal unit. This position will provide the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to develop existing skills whilst gaining further experience. Main Responsibilities. To develop knowledge and practical skills involved in the care of a dialysis patient. To demonstrate an active and effective clinical practice. To identify patient assessment care needs to ensure patients receive their optimum care. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the patients physical, psychological and social state. Provide a mentorship approach to the team, empowering patients, qualified nurses, ancillary staff and student nurses to share knowledge and skills. Ensure consistency, compliance and organisation are optimised on each shift. Promote and maintain professional relationships with both patients and Trust staff. Your Expertise. The ideal candidate will be:. RGN qualification with current NMC registration. Nursing experience of direct patient care. Good communication skills. A willingness to learn. Good team working skills. An empathetic approach. Good organisational skills. Self-motivation. Additional Information. Full training provided. No Sunday working - unit is opened Monday to Saturday various shifts between these days. No night shift working. Please note this position is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
