NSL manages outsourced services in highly regulated environments used by the public and has over 70 clients (including Transport for London, DVLA, Westminster City Council and many NHS Trusts) and employ 5,200 people to fulfill services for these contracts. Success has led NSL to create three specialist sectors dedicated to core markets; Central Government, Local Government and Care Services. At NSL Care Services our patients come first. We provide patients with safe, comfortable and on time transfers. We transfer non-urgent and higher dependency patients on behalf of NHS Hospital Trusts. We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader to be based in Dartford, Kent. You will be required to supervise and motivate a team of front line crews within an operational base, ensuring quality and timely patient care and transport, as well as supporting the Leadership team in maintaining high standards of service delivery and efficiency. Other duties will include: Provides leadership to front line colleagues; develops an engaged workforce Enables on-going personal development for all to ensure capability is stretched and appropriate career aspirations are met Monitor & manage driver behaviour Communicates effectively within their direct and indirect teams, ensuring two way dialogue Ensure that the operation meets its contractual obligations and the service objectives for the PTS Service Plan, co-ordinate, and organise the staffing structure for area of responsibility Promote and follow the company’s Rules, Regulations and Policies Ensure full compliance with the client’s and NSL Services’ Health & Safety, Security (ISO27001) & Clinical (CQC) policies and procedures Ensuring effective uniform management/ stock control of cleaning materials Ensure accurate recording of absence information Ensure accurate timesheet information to avoid any possibility of overpayments / underpayments Ensure cost effective management of staffing levels to minimise cost and use of overtime You will be required to work 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday (including Bank Holidays) Shifts vary between the hours of 00:00 and 23:59 flexibility for the role is essential. The ideal Candidate: Proven strong interpersonal skills – client, colleagues, PTS stakeholders and patient facing The ability to work under pressure and independently Effective Leadership Ensure that processes are valued and followed The ability to solve logistical issues Full UK Drivers Licence Good standard of education, preferably to A-level standard BTEC qualification in Team Leadership or capability of obtaining Geographical knowledge of all catchments served by the Hospitals General and demonstrable understanding of PTS working practices and how this integrates with Hospital and Point of Care requirements Good knowledge of all PTS related issues ideally gained through experience in the patient transport industry In depth knowledge of all the requirements of CQC In return for your hard work: £21,500 per annum 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays Pension scheme Free uniform Award scheme Discount scheme Training & development Employee Consultative Committee to represent the voice of colleagues Interested?
